Lindsey joined VolleyFX as the full time Club Director in December 2010 after completing her degree in Business Administration from the University at Buffalo. Lindsey became a member of VolleyFX in 2004 when she joined the club as a sophomore and continued on with the club for 3 years. She was a member of Magic 181 for all three years, and was a part of the 2006 and 2007 Magic teams that qualified for USAV 18 Open Nationals. In 2008, she was inducted into the VFX Hall of Fame as a member of the 2005-2006 Magic Team. After VolleyFX Lindsey was a Scholarship Athlete at the University at Buffalo, where she was a 4-yr starter and a 2-yr captain. Upon graduating in December 2010, Lindsey began her work with VolleyFX as Club Director and coach. She is able to serve as a main point of communication for players, parents and coaches within the club and implement new programs to better serve our athletes.
Since joining VolleyFX, Lindsey has continued her development as a coach through numerous opportunities. In 2012, she completed her USA Volleyball CAP I Certification. CAP stands for Coach Accredited Program and it is a coach development program offered by USA Volleyball. Coaches travel to the classes during the year to take part in all day seminars and classroom sessions to complete the certification. This year she will look to complete the level II program.
Lindsey also attends the AVCA Coaches Convention each year in December. It is a four-day event, paired with the NCAA finals that hosts coaches from all over the country. During the four days, coaches listen to speakers, participate in Q&A sessions with top professionals in the volleyball field and attend many informational seminars. Presenters include; Olympians, Olympic Coaches, top College Coaches as well as top Club Coaches and Directors. The four-day event is a great way for volleyball knowledge to be passed around and brought back to VolleyFX by Lindsey.
In 2013, Lindsey began her work with USA Volleyball. She is spent time with USA Volleyball Grass Roots Director, John Kessel. Being highly involved with youth volleyball in this area, her relationship with Kessel has significantly improved the VolleyFX Youth Programs by the knowledge she has gained from him. On top of her youth connection to USA Volleyball, Lindsey is also a USA Volleyball High Performance Coach. Each summer she travels to work in numerous USAV HP programs and working with some of the best young athletes in the country.
