It is with great excitement, the board of directors is pleased to announce Quinn Wright as the new Club Director of VolleyFX. Quinn comes to VFX after seven years of collegiate coaching experience. He most recently served as Head Women’s Volleyball coach at Finger Lakes Community College, where the Lakers enjoyed their highest win percentage since 2011.
Prior to his time at FLCC, Coach Wright spent six years assisting the women’s volleyball program at Allegheny College (NCAA DIII). In that role, Quinn was responsible for recruiting, individual training sessions and team practice planning. In his time with the Gators, he was part of a program rebuild. In four years as the assistant coach following his graduation in 2012, the Women’s Volleyball team improved from a record of 7-26 in 2012, to 18-13 in 2015.
A Penfield, NY native, Quinn’s high school team won Section V championships in 2006 and 2007, and Quinn was selected Section V tournament MVP in 2007. He was also named all county and was selected to the first All Greater Rochester team in 2007. After high school, he went on to serve as the starting setter at Allegheny College for their men’s club volleyball team, while assisting the women’s program.
Quinn graduated from Allegheny College in 2012 earning a bachelor's degree in History with a minor in Religious Studies, and went on to complete his masters degree in Sports Management at Drexel University in 2015.
